2024 Shincheonji’s Bible Seminar by Continent: Asia I – The Philippines

As Revelation 22:17 says, Shincheonji Church of Jesus (Shincheonji Church) shares the revealed word with whoever wants. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lee Man Hee, the chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, kept sharing the testimony of the fulfillment of Revelation online. Despite his age (he’s in his 90s), the chairman of Shincheonji Church pours his effort to carry his mission, which is to testify what he saw and heard (the fulfillment of Revelation) to the churches as recorded in Rev 22:16.

With sincere and earnest requests from the Philippines, Chairman Lee Man Hee of Shincheonji Church visited the country to give a lecture.

Before his lecture, a brief introduction video covering the history of Shincheonji Church and introduction of Chairman Lee Man Hee of Shincheonji Church.

Chairman Lee Man Hee of Shincheonji started the lecture with a comment, “This country, the Philippines, is something that very meaningful to me. This is the first place that I came to after I received the understanding of the word. That was the Philippines. I’m always happy to be here.” The Philippines is the first country he visited to testify the word except for Korea as he mentioned.

Then, Chairman Lee introduced himself. He was a farmer in the countryside. Then, the war (Korean War) broke out and he fought at the frontline as a soldier (student soldier, he was very young, but had to fight for the country back then). It was a cruel war, and nothing seemed to survive on that battlefield. Surviving from the war, he was very grateful for being able to survive, so he prayed to God and heaven every evening even though he wasn’t a believer. One day, a big, bright light came to him. He was so lightted that he ran to his father who was sleeping in a farmer’s hut. He and his father went out to see the light. They both saw the light with great surprise. Since then, Chairman Lee started a life of faith, promising to God with his blood.

Chairman Lee sought the church for his life of faith. One day, he found a church that had seven pastors (he’s explaining about the Tabernacle Temple in Rev 2-3). Those pastors slit their wrists to make promises to God (to devote their lives to God). Soon, he found out the church was corrupted. He didn’t want to stay there, so he came back to his hometown and served the community building houses for the “New Village Movement (the project that the Korean government ran to industrialize the country)” for seven years. After that, he met a person (he’s not sure if that person was God or Jesus). That person came from heaven. He is living his life of faith based on what he (the person from heaven) told him. Back then, he would go up to the mountain and pray there. There were two or three people who were members of the church he left (brothers and sisters of the church he left). He shared what he saw and heard (the fulfillment of Revelation). Since then, he held Bible seminars. Starting from those few numbers of people, now Shincheonji Church grew huge. He couldn’t just know the fulfillment of Revelation by himself, he had to make everyone know. To tell the world, he traveled the world 31 times.

When he lived his life of faith, he wanted to see, touch, and talk to the real entities of Revelation. “Unless I seen, touched, or talked to them, I can’t acknowledge them.” That’s what he thought back then. He was able to see the reality of Revelation.

During the seminar, he emphasized that the book of Revelation must not be added or taken away because it is said not to in Rev 22:18-19 (Rev 22:18-19 says that if anyone adds or takes away from this book, they can’t enter the kingdom of heaven and will receive the plagues written in the book.).

He then testified that he ate the opened scroll and understood the book of Revelation (Rev 10, an angel gives the opened scroll to the promised pastor and tells him to eat it). Understanding the book, he could match the fulfilled reality and the prophecy. He then testified (his mission is to testify to churches, Rev 22:16) to people in his country and people worldwide.

No one knew the meaning of this book since it was written – about 2,000 years. What Jesus promised in the book of Revelation is re-creation: the new heaven and the new earth will be created.

In Mt 24, Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away and they will fulfill.” The first heaven and earth will pass away and the new heaven and earth will be fulfilled today. God had been fulfilling all the promises he promised in the history of the Bible. Therefore, Revelation will be fulfilled. However, no one knows if it’s fulfilled or not. Chairman Lee said, “What if I say that Revelation is fulfilled until Chapter 17?” Chairman Lee then explained why Rev 18 is not fulfilled yet, it’s because people have to get out of there (the place where will be judged by the hand of God. It is written in Rev 18:4). “At the time of fulfillment, we should be ready.”

Highlighting the importance of knowing and verifying the fulfillment of Revelation, Chairman Lee then explained what happened to the church he left (the Tabernacle Temple). The Nicolaitans, Satan’s pastors, came in and taught false teachings. In Rev 2-3, Jesus speaks to these messengers through letters. Jesus chose a person to send the letters to them. That chosen person is the chairman. That person is the one who saw all the events of Revelation. “Jesus showed one person the entire events of the book,” he said, “He will speak of what he saw and heard. The whole events from chapter 1 to chapter 22.”

In the lecture, Chairman Lee explained the fulfillment of Revelation starting from chapter 1 to chapter 17. He said that he received a mission to testify to the churches about what he saw (Rev 22:16) when he became a promised pastor after being chosen by Jesus. Jesus prophecized Revelation about 2,000 years ago. Today, Jesus came and is fulfilling what he promised. The promised pastor is the one who saw and heard the events of Revelation that were fulfilled by Jesus, and spread the word to the churches (Rev 22:8 and Rev 22:16). Chairman Lee quoted Jn 14:29 while explaining why prophecy like the book of Revelation is needed (“I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.”). Prophecies were made to let people believe (in God, Jesus, and the work of God).

Also, Chairman Lee Man Hee emphasized the importance of knowing/testifying the correct meaning of Revelation quoting Rev 22:18-19. The book says that if anyone adds or takes away from this book, they won’t be able to enter heaven, and the plagues written in the book will be added to them. Chairman Lee said again that he testifies to the fulfillment of Revelation because he is the one who saw the fulfillment. He emphasized saying, “If you truly confident that you’ll go to heaven and live eternal life written in the Bible, you must verify if the reality of the book is actually fulfilled according to the word or not, even if the fulfillment is anywhere on the Earth. The reason why we worship God is not to boast around, is for us to make our hopes come true, hopes that we want to live eternal life in heaven. Today, worshiping God can’t be done with the old spirit that we believed in God in the past. We must verify anything. I think that we must verify, and then choose to believe it or not.”

Chairman Lee Man Hee explained what happened after John sent the letters to the betrayed seven messengers. Jesus called him up to heaven and showed the throne of God and many spirits that were busily working. Then, there was a book that was sealed with seven seals on God’s hand. He heard that no one could open or read the book. John wept and wept to hear that, but Jesus came out, took the book, and then removed the seals one by one from Rev 6. Whenever Jesus removed the seal, the fulfilled reality appeared. In Rev 6, the sun, the moon, and the stars, that were the first heaven and the first earth, fell and were over.

“After this”, chapter seven begins with this sentence. This means that this event happened after Rev 6. In Rev 7, an event of sealing the twelve tribes takes place. Being sealed means that people engraved the word of Revelation and its fulfillment in their hearts. In Chairman Lee’s expression, people who were sealed are approved by God. Therefore, they are able to become God’s family, to be saved, and to go to heaven. Soon after the number of the sealed people reaches 144,000, a great multitude in white comes out. In Revelation, no verse says that people except for these people (the great multitude in white and sealed 144,000) are saved. People who were sealed in Rev 7 go to heaven and be saved. Chairman Lee highlighted the importance of being sealed saying, “People who were sealed can go to heaven and live eternal life, and live with God as his family. People who weren’t sealed have nothing to do with God. No matter how they boast around and brag about themselves, it’s nothing. Why do you think God wrote that you can’t enter heaven and be cursed if you add or take away from Revelation in Rev 22:18-19? Neither a single string nor a single letter shouldn’t be broken. It’s because it (the book) is fulfilled according to it as it was stamped (and looks like the stamp).”

Chairman Lee introduced his church members as walking Bibles, because the contents of the whole book of Revelation are engraved in their hearts, and they can answer the questions about it. He quoted Ezk 3. Jesus at the first coming was also a walking Bible because he received the opened scroll and ate it. In Rev 10, John received and ate the opened scroll (it’s the process of the promised pastor in Jesus’ second coming mastering the book of Revelation). Chairman Lee Man Hee encouraged the audience, “Let us all become the walking Bibles. If you record the word to your heart, it will be your spiritual food. In Jn 1:1-4, didn’t it say that the word is life and light? If you completely record the word to your heart, you will become a walking Bible, a child of light, a child with life. Jesus said in Jn 15, “You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you”. With the word, you will have life, it can help you, and make you realize everything. Without the word, there’s nothing.”

Then, he suggested the audience to record Revelation because the book said not to add or take away, or you can’t go to heaven.

He continued explaining the fulfillment of Revelation. In Rev 13, people were parabolized as a beast with seven heads and ten horns. There was also a God’s pastor. The pastor gives birth to a child in Rev 12. This child is the man who will rule the world. The children of the pastor fought against a group of the dragon and defeated them. Since then, God’s nation and salvation have existed, as it was written in Rev 12. Defeating the group of the dragon brings God’s nation and salvation. That’s why Jesus kept advising the seven messengers in Rev 2 and Rev 3 that they must fight against Satan’s pastors and defeat them.

While emphasizing the importance of knowing the word, Chairman Lee mentioned that he has been sending letters to the churches until now, and said that if there’s anything wrong with his testimony, please let him know. He explained that he is the one who saw the reality of the fulfillment of Revelation, taking an example of Rev 2-3. He saw the seven messengers (who were chosen by Jesus) and the person who fed the food sacrificed to idols to them. He also quoted Revelation and the Four Gospels to highlight the importance of knowing the fulfillment of today. In Rev 21, the first heaven and earth disappear, and the new heaven and earth appear. In Mt 8, people from east and west sat in heaven, and the subjects who had been in heaven were kicked out, weeping, and gnashing their teeth. These people who came from the east and west are the harvested people from Mt 24. Jesus promised that he will come back with angels to gather his elect (to harvest). This event will happen after the event of destruction. After the event, in Mt 24, “the abomination that causes desolation stands in the holy place (when Jerusalem falls)”.

Chairman Lee Man Hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus then suggested the pastors learn the word and verify if it’s true. “Let’s discern true and false, and end falsehood.” Chairman Lee said, “Let’s put the word in our hearts and become one. How hard have you poured your effort to go to heaven and live eternal life? Shouldn’t the goal be achieved so that the efforts won’t go to waste? I believe that if we do our best together to achieve it, it will turn out well.”

I recommend you to listen to his speech. If I had carried all of his words, it would be just the chairman’s text of a speech. While listening to it, I could feel the sincere love for the Filipinos, I guess it’s because the Philippines is the first country to testify the word except for Korea. I could feel that the people gathered there were passionate about learning the word. The chairman might’ve felt that too. Maybe that’s why he explained more specifically about the fulfillment of Revelation. You might not want to miss that.
